Falling Down - Research

The work, at the moment, consists of three main elements, a complex dance at the beginning, a fall towards the middle and then a long monologue delivered from where I land on the floor,  which dwells on who is to blame for the fall, asks everyone present to remember a better time, (specifically the time that I was up on my feet dancing) and veers off into other associative rambling which complicates the relationship & examines power dynamics between the performer, the audience and this event that we all shared in, touching on themes of failure, decline and nostalgia.
